About The Role
As the SEO Strategist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our brand's online presence and driving organic growth through compelling content and effective search engine optimization strategies. You’ll be responsible for the strategic development and management of new and existing initiatives that will be delivering product education, brand awareness and organic traffic to support our demand generation and growth targets. Your expertise in crafting persuasive copy, combined with your understanding of SEO principles, will be essential in communicating the unique features and benefits of our smart lock products.
- Content Creation:
Develop high-quality, SEO-optimized, engaging, and informative content that captures high-volume, high-intent web traffic.
Translate technical features into user-friendly language that resonates with our target audience.
Refresh existing digital content using SEO best practices
- SEO Optimization:
Conduct thorough keyword research to identify relevant and high-traffic keywords for the smart lock industry.
Implement on-page SEO techniques to optimize content for search engines, improving organic visibility and driving targeted traffic.
Work closely with the paid team to build a strategy around KW ranking and competitive conquesting.
- Content Strategy:
Collaborate with the marketing team to develop a comprehensive content strategy that aligns with our brand voice, objectives, and target audience, including milestones, timelines and ROI insights.
Plan and execute content calendars to ensure a consistent flow of optimized content.
- Meta Descriptions and Title Tags:
Craft compelling meta descriptions and title tags that enhance click-through rates from search engine results pages (SERPs) and accurately represent the content of each page.
- Backlink Outreach:
Identify opportunities for guest posting, collaborations, and partnerships to acquire high-quality backlinks from authoritative websites, enhancing our domain authority and search rankings.
Create synergies between Content, Technical, and Link development strategies to increase the performance of the overall SEO program.
- Performance Analysis:
Regularly monitor and analyze the performance of content using SEO tools and analytics platforms.
Provide insights into traffic trends, user engagement, and conversion rates, and use these insights to refine and improve content strategies.
Conduct comprehensive, prioritized site audits and proactively identify on-page and technical SEO opportunities that drive organic traffic at scale.
Leverage Google Search Console to understand and take tactical action to maintain and improve SEO rankings.
Partner with Analytics to establish a clear measurement framework, define critical metrics, track and analyze performance, and demonstrate business impact.
Develop and maintain keyword tracking to analyze performance over time.
- Stay Abreast of Industry Trends:
Keep up-to-date with the latest developments in SEO, content marketing, and the smart home industry. Apply emerging trends and best practices to continuously improve our SEO efforts.
- 2-3 years of experience in digital, editorial, and/or marketing content writing; familiarity with writing content that is readable and relevant to the user while also optimized for search.
- Proven track record of generating and converting organic traffic to deliver growth at a DTC brand through highly scalable SEO initiatives.
- Familiarity with SEO tools like SEMrush.
- Professional experience writing in the consumer technology field preferred.
- Organized and self-motivated with the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent writing, research, and communication skills.
